dear recursive creator,

Thank you for offering any of these fandoms ♡ The tl;dr is that if you touch on anything I mention liking even slightly — and as I'm sure you'll realize, I have a lot of things that I like — I'll be elated.

In the spirit of this exchange, after this preface I am going to be talking about my recursive canons as if they were the real thing, even if it makes me seem a bit mad, ahaha.

For everyone into the original versions of the canon: you're fine to let that influence how you play around in these recursive canons if that's what's the most fun for you; I certainly know that the reason I'm so into them is because of how cleverly they interact with the source material. However! I would be absolutely thrilled for you to only take what is presented in the recursive versions as gospel & do whatever you want with canon as we know it! Retconning, ignoring, inverting, subverting — don't feel like you have to be precious with any of it since this is the canon.

Along that same line, if your only or most recent experience with the source canon is the recursive work (or some combination of the work, osmosis, having consumed it a long time ago but not recently, or only seeing bits of it here and there, et cetera) then you're an expert in my mind. I'm here for the recursive canons, full-stop, so don't worry if that's the only point of reference you have ♥
